Lib Dems select Sam Webber as candidate for Bromley and Chislehurst

Sam Webber was selected by local Liberal Democrats in October 2008 to be the next parliamentary candidate for Bromley and Chislehurst.

Mr Webber said: "I am so pleased to have been selected to stand in my home constituency where I have lived since 1987. The Liberal Democrats continue to stand for a fairer, greener Britain and I will make sure as a team we get out and talk to as many people as possible between now and the next general election and listen to their concerns."

"The Bromley and Chislehurst by-election in 2006 showed that only that Liberal Democrats can strongly challenge the Tories here, and so we look forward to putting our case forward at the next election, and to building up our local government base."

Sam Webber, 25, lives in Bickley and has a degree in Politics from the University of East Anglia. He has previously worked as an intern to Simon Hughes MP and as a Press and Research Officer. He currently works for a travel publishing house.

At the next General Election Bromley & Chislehurst constituency boundaries will be changed to consist of the following wards:

Bickley, Bromley Town, Chislehurst, Cray Valley West, Mottingham and Chislehurst North, Plaistow and Sundridge.
