Councillors join Community Clean-up

9.20.00am GMT Sat 20th Feb 2010

Cray Valley East Liberal Democrat councillors Cllr David McBride, Cllr Brenda Thompson and Cllr Martin Curry recently joined local Friends members, Police and Council officers in a clean up in the area around the river in St Paul's Cray village. Brenda, Martin and David have regularly attended these events over the past few years since the Friends of the Cray Valley group was set up. "It is a good way for the local community, including us as councillors, can come together to keep our area clean," said David.

"We have been helping out at these events for the past few years now," said Martin, "it was good to see so many new people out at this event."
