Plaistow & Sundridge Liberal Democrat Focus Team Oppose Holy Trinity Planning Application

2.02.04pm BST (GMT +0100) Fri 18th Aug 2006

Local residents should have received letters from Bromley Borough Council regarding two planning applications for the former Holy Trinity School site at 81 Plaistow Lane. Disappointingly, both planning permissions would build a large number of new flats on the site, increasing pressure on local roads and schools such as St. Joseph's RC School and Scotts Park Primary.

Many will remember that the Liberal Democrat Focus Team of Mike Deves, Toby Philpott & Lennard Woods surveyed local resident's in March. It was clear that the overwhelming majority of residents who responded opposed the building of residential accommodation on the site and would have preferred either for more facilities to have been made available for St. Joseph's school or for the site to be made into a park with community facilities.

As part of our objection to the planning application the Plaistow & Sundridge Liberal Democrat Focus Team will be submitting the results of the survey to the Council. We would still urge all local residents to oppose both planning applications and to do so by either: Writing to the Town Planning Department, Bromley Borough Council, Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley, BR1 3UH. quoting DC/06/02747/FULL1 and DC/06/02820/OUT.

Or by using the Public Access Internet Service at http://www.bromley.gov.uk/environment/planning/public_access_planning_appl.htm here you can see the full plans there by typing in the application numbers without the DC/ at the front, e.g. 06/02747 and 06/02820.

Please get your objections to the Council by 31st August 2006 at the latest.
