Transport for London say "No" to bus meeting

12.01.00am GMT Sun 29th Jan 2006

R3 Bus

Transport for London have turned down a request by the Lib Dems for a Public Meeting in Orpington to discuss bus routes - even though they are in the middle of reviewing the R1, R2, R3, R4, R6 & R11 routes. The refusal is due to staff shortages.

A large number of residents have contacted the local Liberal Democrats about local routes.

Mike Hall said: "One of the local Lib Dem team will meet TfL at their Victoria offices to discuss residents' suggestions, but I really would have liked them to come here to listen to residents' views"
