Second Conservative councillor not living in the borough1.32.13pm GMT Wed 7th Sep 2005 A second Conservative Councillor has been found to have quietly moved out of the area while still collecting £10,000 a year in allowances from local residents.
Chelsfield & Pratts Bottom Conservative councillor Adrian Marshall moved out of the area to Blackboys, near to the East Sussex coast, just after Easter. He still claims the £10,000 a year allowance for being a local councillor. In a bid to hide his new address, Councillor Marshall asks local residents to contact him via Bromley Civic Centre - even though he can be traced via http://www2.bt.com/edq_resnamesearch? Bromley Lib Dem Leader David McBride said: "We now have two Tory councillors who do not live in the borough drawing payment for being councillors. Both should resign and allow residents to elect someone who can represent them properly." Related Links:News Shopper report on Cllr Marshall moving away from Chelsfield & Pratts Bottom to Blackboys.
