STOP PRESS CHELSFIELD STATION: Latest statement from the SRA

The SRA have stated today that: "It is proposed that throughout the day there will be 2 trains per hour from Chelsfield: CXO5/ CXO6 both off peak trains to Charing Cross. CX07/ CX08 both on peak trains to Charing Cross (in the peak period hour).

"CX07 and CX08 are replacements in the peak period (exact timings will be confirmed at a later date when the timetable is worked out) for CX05 and CX06, and in the 'shoulder peak times' these other two trains will run as previously stated as they do in the off peak periods."

Duncan Borrowman says: "This still means only two trains an hour. The SRA clearly is under the misguided impression that Chelsfield is a rural station. This is better than it looked yesterday, but is still the cut that we had previously heard of - which is totally unacceptable"
