Dorset Road School Lives to fight another day10.00.00pm GMT Thu 11th Sep 2003
Plans by Bromley's penny pinching Conservative Council to close the popular Dorset Road Infant School in Mottingham have taken a major set back. Pupils, parents and teachers alike were delighted when the Schools Organisation Committee voted 2-2 on the proposal by Bromley's Conservative Council to close Dorset Road Infant School in Mottingham. As a result the school has a reprieve and the proposal will now go to independent arbitration. Liberal Democrat Councillor Denise Payton said; "Lib Dem councillors will continue to support pupils, parents and teachers in their fight to be saved from the Tory axe."
