Orpington Lib Dem councillors fight proposed closure of sub Post Office

Orpington Councillors Grace Goodlad, Chris Maines and Jenny Powell outside of the Court Road sub post office

Local councillors Grace Goodlad, Chris Maines and Jenny Powell have launched a local "Don't KO the PO" petition.

Chris Maines said; "The Post Office is set to close a huge number of Sub Post Offices. The Liberal Democrats are fighting to save this essential service to the local community."

Jenny Powell said; "Many local pensioners have told me how upset they will be at losing the 328 Court Road Sub Post Office, which is a hub of the community"

Grace Goodlad added; "Young families will also be hit, local mums have complained that they will have to trek into Orpington to pick up their family allowance."
